Paulgaard Equestrian has a relatively small breeding operation, consisting of four to eight warmblood mares. The focus of the program is on producing an athletic, good-minded horse that will be worked from birth to four years of age then marketed as a "ready-to-show" prospect for the dressage or jumper ring. The bloodlines we use boast some of the best sport horses in the world. The foals are imprinted from birth and handled on a regular basis. As submission to humans is understood from birth, the young horses are never exposed the trauma of occassional handling for feet trimming, vaccinations etc... The foals come in so often that starting them as 3-year-olds is totally uneventful.
