Penny has developed a linear system, called the S.I.U.P System, fashioned after the classic military protocol of repitition and drills.
The acronym stands for "suck it up princess". We would all like to think our riding is fine and really it's just our horses that need some work. In this system I fix 99% of the rough ends by focusing on the rider and the execution of the aids. I rarely look at the horse as I know if the rider's position is correct and learns to execute the aids effectively the horse goes great and will portray a classic picture of balance and beauty.
The system is designed to give you the knowledge to be able to go home and practice the details. You will not need a coach to watch your every step because you will use a system that pts you in charge of your practice.
Penny travels with state of the art video equipment used at every teaching session so the rider can gain immediate feedback and monitor their progress. Sessions include still pictures from the video footage as well.

So the focus is on the rider and their journey to strengthen their core muscle system so they can execute EFFECTIVE aids.
For most riders this is a long term commitment to develop the correct muscles and coordination. It requires great concentration, patience, perseverance and the will to see it through.
There is a high drop out rate. It sounds so simple but many riders find it hard to punt old habits to allow for the development of new ones. The S.I.U.P. system only works if it is practiced perfectly, no deviations, no short cuts. So it is not for the faint of heart.

Once the rider has the ability to perform walk, trot and canter on the lunge line with steady hands and relaxed open legs using the S.I.U.P. system, I will begin to teach the other components.
"At the core of Penny's system is the rider - she focuses on developing an effective seat and light aids. She s a beautiful, successful rider, but more importantly to her students, she is a dynamic and clear communicator who can teach you step-by-step how to improve your riding. Just ask any of her students!"In summary, it's up to the rider to commit to the system and have the discipline and will to get to the other side of it. Those that do get to the other side, never look back or regret the effort spent learning it.
The rewards are a safe stable seat, a composed submissive horse, and most importantly the complete control of every move your horse makes.
